Principal/Art Director

Adrian is the Art Director at Fish Creative. With five years of experience in the professional arena working on web, print, branding, environmental and typographic projects, Adrian brings a wide range of talent and abilities to Fish.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from the Prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, he developed and honed his skills under the tutelage of Leah Hofmitz, Clane Graves, Nils Lindstrom and Doyald Young. After college he worked as a freelancer, as an associate with several designer firms in Los Angeles and eventually moved to Northern California to establish Fish Creative. It was in Northern California that he met his future business partner and co-founder of Fish Creative, Austin de Coup-Crank.

My job is to keep technology doing what it’s supposed to: whatever the heck we tell it. If it’s stepped out of line, I’ll put it right back in its place. If it’s working well, I’ll make it work better. You might say I’ve been taming technology since 1999™.

I do lots of things with computers. I perform advanced data recovery on failed hard drives all the way to programming object-oriented PHP. I remove viruses from Windows for fun. I thank God for all He has taught me.

I particularly enjoy open/free software, which fits nicely with my fondness for web standards. I run a particular flavor of Linux on my desktop and laptop and write all my code in open-source programs.
